Demonstrate proficiency of skills and concepts through guided experimentation, practice, and persistence. Objective: Students will be able to conceptualize and design a video game level that tells a portion of a story for a character in three dimensional space. An isometric drawing is a pictorial drawing often used in engineering drawings. The isometric drawing is the fastest and most accurate type of pictorial to draw. An example of applying isometric drawing techniques. This video is just an example to see that an entire video game was made using isometric grid drawing. You will create a presentation that consists of the following:
Include your two best artworks created in this class. Label which one is your favorite. Give each of these works an appropriate title. Identify in your own words why you chose these two artworks. Include one of your least favorite works from this class. Identify in your own words why you dislike it. Create a response to inform incoming freshmen of what to expect in Mr. Shipley's Digital Art class. Things that you may to tell them about: type of work you do, challenging or not, general class procedures(what's a normal day like), Mr. Shipley, etc. You will have the opportunity to identify what is a kaleidoscope (maybe you already know what it is), how it works, and we will create a kaleidoscope effect using Photoshop. STEP 1 IDENTIFY Using Google Slides answer the following: What is your name? What is your period #? What is a kaleidoscope? (Don't copy and paste text from the internet. You may read something from the internet, but formulate your answer in your own words.) How does a kaleidoscope work? (You don't need a complete scientific response, just a general overview.) Provide a picture of what a kaleidoscope looks like. Provide 4 artwork examples of imagery viewed through a kaleidoscope. STEP 2 CREATE
