Mr. Shipley reviewed the expectation of due dates and deadlines for the three part assignment seen below. There is NO excuse to not have the assignments completed by the stated deadlines. Students were made aware of what they need for the assignments and should be working on the projects in class. Anchor Standard #3: Refine and complete artistic work. Indicator: Engage in continual practice, revision, and craftsmanship in refinement of artwork. Enduring Understanding: Excellence in art is developed through continuous practice, craftsmanship, refinement, and reflection. Objective: Students will create an illustration that forces a viewer to explore the concept of beautification. Part 1Using only one image, create an artwork as seen in the video below. Part 2Using the same portrait or a new one, create a fractured portrait as seen below. Part 3Create an artwork inspired by the image below.
There will be no video guide for this one. Final result should be black and white. The images should use at least four different angles of the persons face. Your artwork should have at least 10 “boxes”. A strong composition would incorporate experimentation with different proportions of the facial features. Also, experiment with the stacking of the parts and don’t forget drop shadow to really enhance the work. Comments are closed.
