Below is a terrible photo with the light BEHIND the subject. See the link above to avoid this mistake.CONNECTING AND RESPONDING: (Standards: 7-11) Using a platform of your choice, collect and observe portraits through the ages. Search for portraiture throughout the history of time and collect at least 20 portraits. These could be paintings, drawings, photographs, etc. Analyze the portraits as a whole.
CREATING and PRESENTING: (Standards 1-3) You will select the image or images that you intend to use for the final artworks. You will brainstorm and collect possible color choices, patterns, and/or appropriate background choices to enhance the work. This is very important for a stronger piece!!! Do you remember the elements and principles of design? Emphasis, Contrast, Unity, etc. Put these concepts to good use!! Consider the person, review the questions of your conversation with the person. You will develop a written reflection explaining why you made particular artistic choices and how you were influenced by the conversation/responses of the person.. I STILL FEEL LOST!!!!!
